My Under Eye Saviours
So many of you know outside of blogging I have a full time job which is working in the hospitality industry. If you know anything about this industry it means crazy shifts, early mornings, late nights and no chance of any kind of sleeping routine. Needless to say it takes its toll and for me the first place to show signs of my tiredness is under my eyes like most people. I am here today to share with you my under eye saviours. I naturally have bags under my eyes but they definitely get worse after a heavy week and i also have a lot of blueness.
These little beauties in the picture above are my under eye saviours. They really help to reduce the problem as well as cover it up, so I will go through with you in detail what they all are and what they do.
Ok so first up are eye masks.
I don’t use these every day but if my eyes are looking or feeling really puffy, tired or I just haven’t had much sleep then I crack out these babies. These ones are from a brand called Venus. I get them from Douglas here in The Netherlands and they are €1.95
I think they work incredibly well and you can immediately feel the cooling effect when you apply them which helps to take down excess puffiness.
Something I do use everyday is my eyes cube from The Body Shop which is part of the Vitamin E range. I have to say I was a little sceptical when I first bought this but wow it really works and over a longer period of time you can really see the difference it makes. You also don’t have to keep this in the fridge which is better for me. I am one of those out of site out of mind kind of people and I would just forget to use it. It is €12 but it lasts a really really long time so I think it’s definitely worth it.
So they are a couple of things that are going to help you reduce the problem, now onto covering the problem up.
The first thing I use is the M.A.C Prep + Prime highlighter in radiant rose. It has a slight pink tone to it that really helps to cancel out the blue colour and as the name suggests it has highlighting properties to it as well to brighten up the under eye area. It costs €22 but is worth every penny in my opinion. You can’t use this on its own and hope its going to cover all your sins though, you do need a concealer on top of it. I love the Essence Cosmetics stay all day 16h concealer and at just €2.59 you can’t really go wrong.
Last but not least its powder and I use the M.A.C Prep + Prime CC powder in neutralize, it is a bright yellow but don’t be scared of this product. I use this just under my eyes and I use a very light dusting again to create a little more highlight under there and make myself look more awake. This powder costs €23
This may seem like a lot of products but I swear by my under eye saviours, they help me out in times of need hahaha.
Do you have any tricks you would like to share to keep those eye bags at bay? If so make sure to let us all know in the comments below.
I hope your all having a lovely day and I’ll see you next time.
